MOJO Monday 273

Surprised myself just now!!  I was thinking that I missed posting this on MOJO Monday 273 and I just noticed that I didn't miss it.  I guess it's because I made it the day after that challenge posted then forgot all about it.

The day after being Christmas day and since we had no family here this year we just relaxed and I played with some of my Christmas gifts.  This paper was from my dear sweet daughter, she got it on a Black Friday deal she couldn't resist at Archiver's it is from My Mind's Eye.

I used the Close to My Heart Art Philosophy cartridge for the cut outs and the stamp sets are CTMH too, the roses are part of the upcoming January 2013 Stamp of the Month set and the "greetings" stamp is part of the For My Friend set. I love this little word and this particular version of it. The more I use this cartridge the more I think every paper crafter should own it!  It comes in a bundle with coordinating chipboard elements and stamp sets which makes it a great deal at $99, but...if you host a gathering in person, by book or by "e-party" that reaches $250 you can purchase it for 1/2 price!  Email me if you would like to know more.

Close to My Heart - Whooo's Your Valentine - Tuesday Morning Sketch #178

Well, I'm happy to say that I have taken a little time off over the holidays and will have lots to show you the next few days.

I'm pretty dang proud of this card that I made to enter the challenge at Tuesday Morning Sketch #178.  I REALLY took  this challenge to heart.  The reason this was a challenge for me is because I scheduled a pop-up card for my monthly workshop for January, and I haven't made one in a VERY long time.  It was super easy with the CTMH Cricut Artiste cartridge, just cut and assemble.  The front of the card is a sketch from the CTMH Make it From Your Heart Volume I.

This is the first creation I've made using the stamp set from the Close to My Heart Whooo's Your Valentine kit.  The kit is a promotion that is only available until January 31st,  check out the video in my previous post if you would like to know more about it or to purchase you can contact me or go to my website www.pattir.ctmh.com.   Take a look at the photo below and you will see there's lot's more in the kit in addition to this cute set.  It's just $10 with a $35 purchase from our Fall/Winter 2012/2013 Catalog.

Hope you enjoyed this cute little card. If you're interested in seeing more wonderful CTMH products I have a Catalog/Idea Book free for the asking to the first 3 people who contact me and provide their mailing address so I can send it.

Whooo's Your Valentine? National Papercrafting Month: January 2013

You could say I'm addicted :)

Because of all this....

I certainly didn't need to bring home all this....

I guess if I use it I'm not a hoarder, but have to admit it's definitely an addiction.
But a lovely one it is!

Just playin'

A few weeks ago, I decided that my 15 year old brayer should look a little cuter since I always have it out now that I use it so much when I'm using my Cricut.  My first thought was to paint it but that sounded too time consuming. I gave some indie tape (My Minds Eye) a try... totally covered the handle then used StazOn ink to recolor & refresh the roller part what do you think?  Even though it's crinkly and imperfect I really like it!

Mixin' with my brand!

Ok so, uh um, you see I was in Colorado Springs where there's an Archivers and it was my first time and all....it just kind of happened :)

Ya, ya, ya I deviated again and brought home a few alien products but they all go so well with my CTMH stuff though, don't you think?

Here's what I used:

October Afternoon Sidewalks Tin Pins & Wagon Train; the blue paper...don't ask me how they came up with that name for this paper :o/

Close to My Heart:
Honey Card Stock and Ink
White Daisy Card Stock
Olive Ink
Twilight Ink
Stamp Sets:
     Art Philosophy (Happy Birthday!)
Flirty Workshop on the Go Set (Leaves & Flower)
Hooray Bouquet (May this be your grandest year yet) Spring/Summer 2012 Catalog, still available

Pears & Partridge Workshop on the Go #2

Ok, so can you tell that I got in a Pear & Partridge mood??  Here's another layout using the P & P WOTG, all I added was the Festive Velvet Rub-Ons.

Pears & Partridge Workshop on the Go

SURPRISE!  I said I would show you something every other day but I just couldn't wait to show you this layout.  I used the Close to My Heart Pear & Partridge Workshop on the Go.  It includes the ever so lovely Pear & Partridge Glittery Rub-Ons.  This is made following the included instructions verbatim.  I think (?) my favorite part is the way they show using the snowflake and border stamps (included also) to make a two color stamped border that's quite classy.

Flirty Paper and Autumn Lane Assortment

Well it HAS been a WHILE, a LONG while!!  I had planned on posting during my 2 week visit to see my daughter and her little fam in Co. Springs, but totally forgot that I had already uploaded pics to do it.  So....I think I'll just treat you to every-other-day posts for a week or so - sound good?

Here's the layout that my clubs are doing in October for their November pics.  I actually ended up making the New England Ivy focal photo mat 5.5 x 7.5 instead so it would be perfect for a 5 x 7 photo, I think it turned out really well, I'll show you one with pics real soon.

For this I used the following CTMH products:

Flirty Paper Pack
Autumn Lane Assortment
Harvest Baker's Twine
Family Tree Stamp Set
Flirty Workshop on the Go Stamp Set ( I LOVE the saying)
Make It From Your Heart Volume I

Ok another challenge inspired card.  The sketch is from Freshly Made Sketches #54 and the colors are from Play Date Cafe PDCC151.  Next I'm going to be working on one of my OWN challenges...really!!  On this card I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder on  Olive cardstock with the same color sponged.  Flirty paper once again along with Words of Comfort stamp set and Floret Paper Shapes all Close to My Heart

MOJO Monday & Color Throwdown - Flirty Paper Pack

I made this for two challenges MOJO Monday 260 and Color Throwdown CTD 211.  I used Close to My Heart "Flirty" paper pack, Burlap Ribbon and Arbor Wood Shapes, which of course you can find on my site. You will be seeing much more of this beautiful paper pack.  Although I stuck to the challenge colors I LOVE the vivid pink and deep New England Ivy in "Flirty" because it shows off the brilliant colors of fall so well.

October Layout / Scrap Club Project

This is the layout that my clubs will be making in September.  The owl is cut out with the new Close to My Heart Artiste Cricut cartridge and the paper is from the Moonlight packet. The leaves and pumpkins are Arbor Wood Shapes, and I also used the new Burlap Ribbon & Baker's Twine
My daughter is really a fall girl she just loves it. She was born in November and this is her daughter Norah (yes my sweet granddaughter!), born in November also!!  I have other really cute fall pics of her too, you will be seeing those pop up here real soon.

Goodness!  I can hardly believe that it's already been almost a year since these were taken!

Retro Sketches & Color Challenges

These are both from this week's sketch over at Retro Sketches, thought while I was at it I might as well cut two so I found two color challenges to use too.

The scheme for the this one is from "the color throwdown" challenge.

The scheme for this one is from The Play Date Cafe challenge,  PDCC148, which my color is a little off, it really seemed in my lighting that it was more peach, but oh well.

These we so fun to make using all CTMH products except the Cuttlebug embossing folder and the little pink tulle flowers that I just couldn't resist.

MOJO257 Close to My Heart "Flirty" Paper

Here's what I did for MOJO Monday 257 contest.  After I was almost done I realized that I meant to use the other side of the paper for that wide middle band.  It was too late to take things apart so I just made a different variation keeping it a little more simple. Both sides of the paper are so pretty though, agree?

Victorias Secret?

What does Victoria's Secret have to do with this?  Well that's their trademark pink polka dots in the background.  While visiting my daughter in Colorado Springs last fall with a dear friend of my daughter and I, we all went to the mall for  a little shopping.  I took Norah while her mommy and friend had some girl time.  When it came time to find them I checked VS and happened to see this neat huge polka dot chair -- course first thought was "photo op" and here are the results.

Anyway the best part was my daughters reaction when I told her I took there...she said "never again until she's 25"  lol, my how the table has turned ;)

The paper is from the new Close to My Heart "Flirty" paper pack.

Heart 2 Heart - Sympathy Challenge

I made this for the Aug. 6th Heart to Heart Challenge.  The CTMH Moonlight paper packet is what my Hostess Clubs will be using in September to make our projects and October pages. The light flowers and leaves are from a gift my daughter gave me a couple years ago everything else is CTMH.  The stamp set is D1476 Card Chatter - Sympathy.  I have used it on several other cards posted it's such a versatile  set.

New Clementine paper kit, available Aug 1 2012

I already gave you a couple sneak peaks of this kind of western kind of snazzy paper pack.  Here are a couple of the cards that are suggested in the Workshop on the Go.  You get plenty of paper to complete the two layouts and the five featured cards with some left over.  Here are three of the five, I'm saving my two favorites for the next post.  Stamps are from the WOTG kit, other than "You're Super", the words are from the zip strips cut into little banners.  Easy-smeazy!!

CTMH Baby Love & 4 My Friend Stamp Sets

Here is a card I made to send my daughter, and I tell you the words could not be more true! Baby Love is no longer available (gotta get them while you can) but if you're interested you can still purchase 4 My Friend on my site.  I cut the medallion using the CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge.

Heart 2 Heart Patriotism Challenge

I found this Patriotism Challenge on Heart 2 Heart, and  thought this banner would be good.  I wasn't really photographing it to post but figured this would suffice. I haven't entered every one of their challenges for any given month but maybe it will work out for this month.  My Hostess Clubs really loved making this simple mini chipboard banner using CTMH Super Hero paper.

Mojo Monday 250

Well I pretty much fell off the face of the web, but I'm baaaack (ithink).  I was happy to make a card for Mojo Monday 250  again, finally, just in the nic of time too, I had just one minute to spare before the linky closed.  I started another one a few nights ago but got totally sidetracked with my Close to My Heart order from our new catalog.  I have lots more cards to post using this paper pack; Clementine - soon.

Stay tuned for more "Clementine" creations, I already have 7 other items completed or in progress using this great paper kit.  I'll elaborate a little more in upcoming posts as to were in the world I have been for the past few weeks too.

CTMH Button Party Hat Card

This little birthday party hat card was so fun to make, it's a bit different than I expected because I was just going to do punched paper polka dots.  I really love the look of the buttons instead though. The buttons are from the Close to My Heart collections: Blue, Green and Pink.  The little pom pom ball trim is CTMH also, you guessed it the Pink Ribbon Collection.  The stamp set is this month's Stamp of the Month.

For the card shape I just angle cut a regular 5x7 card and rounded the bottom.

Thanks for stopping by, enjoy your day!
